Redemption Church of Florida

Believes in:
  • The Inspiration of the Scripture

The Word of God (both Old and New Testament) are God inspired revelation to man, the authority and all-sufficient standard of faith and behavior; the infallible message for daily living (Timothy 3:15-17; II Peter 1:21).

  • The Only True God and His Deity

Revealed as the “I AM”, is both the Creator and the Redeemer of humanity. Eternally existed in trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19).

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God as declared in the Scripture by his virgin birth (Matthew 1:23); his life without sin (I Peter 2:22)’ his performing of miracles (Acts 2:22); his work on the cross for humanity (I Corinthians 15:3); his resurrection (Luke 24:39); His seating at the right hand of God (Hebrews 1:3).

  • The Fall and Salvation of Man

Man was created in God’s image and likeness, in essence good and upright. Man transgressed voluntarily and fell, thereby became spiritually dead and away from God. (Genesis 1:26, 27).

Man only hope for salvation came through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation is by faith, through grace and the result of repentance that leads to a relationship with Jesus Christ (John 3:3; Ephesians 2:8).

  • The Ordinances of the Church

Water Baptism – the new believer is commanded by God’s Word to be baptized in water by full immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It’s a declaration to the world of dying with Christ and raised to a new life in him. (Matthew 28:19)

Holy Communion – provides a unique time communion in God’s presence where the elements: bread and juice (the body and blood of Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of his sacrifice on the cross (Corinthians 11:23-26).

  • The Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the Initial Physical Evidence

Given at Pentecost, the Holy Spirit is the Father’s promise to all Christians. Sent to empower the church to carry out the Great Commission. In the Scripture the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the speaking in tongues (unknown language) (Acts 1:4-8; John 14:15-17; Acts 2:4).

  • Sanctification

Sanctification is the act of separation from evil and one’s dedication to God and which is good and morally pure (Romans 12:1,2; Hebrews12:14)

  • The Mission of the Church

The Church is the body of Christ, his representatives on earth and responsible to carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19).

  • The Ministry

God have provided to the church ministers with a divine calling and scripturally ordained to lead the church in the evangelistic work, worship, building the body and the overall leadership of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11, 16).

  • Divine Healing

Included in the atonement for our sins is provided for today by the Scriptures

(Isaiah 53:4, 5).

  • Eschatological Affirmations – The Blessed Hope, The Millennial Reign of Christ, The Final Judgement, The New Heavens and New Earth

The Blessed Hope of the Church is the rapture of all Christians (dead and alive) to meet Christ in the air (I Corinthians 15:31).

The Millennial Reign of Christ will follow the second coming of Christ when he will return with his saints to reign on the earth for a thousand years (Revelation 1:7).

The Final Judgement is where all men work will be judged (Revelation 19:20).

The New Heavens and New Earth is where all God’s children will reign forever (Revelation 21, 22).
